About Ethan
Ethan Hartsoe is a Luthier currently studying at The School of Musical Instrument Crafts in Newark.
His passion is to build guitars uncompromising in sound, playability, or aesthetics; a passion rooted deeply in a love for music and playing guitar.
Ethan had a clear affinity for music from a young age, struggling to put down the guitar all throughout his teen years, playing regularly with friends or at church, and writing his own music. His luthierie journey began at 18, when he moved to Newark, Nottinghamshire, to study Musical Instrument Craft, specialising in Guitar Making and Repair.
With the third and final year of his degree approaching, Ethan looks to the horizon of what his future of guitar making could hold, with hopes of one day opening his own workshop, sharing it with other instrument makers and woodworkers.
